A demonstration of the principles of animation beginning with ANTICIPATION.
Press play to begin.
As comments below have correctly pointed out, some of my principles are a bit on the nose. And I haven't demonstrated the principles of animation terribly well either, so it would unwise to use this as an educational device. At least not in it's present form. I think I might now officially change the title to "An Idea for The Principles of Animation." The idea being that a proper character, not circles with dots, not that there's anything wrong with circles with dots, interacts with a series of titles heralding, in turn, the next principle of animation. Sometimes the title will prompt the character to demonstrate a principle, and sometimes the character will prompt the title to change. And it will probably include some irreverent behavior toward the sacred nature of the subject, whilst still showing actual consecrated principles. I'm learning about all this stuff in class presently and so as soon as I learn the rules, I will break them. Here is the circle and dot prototype version:

I'm sorry artfandango, but I agree with Damsel. I don't see how ANY of it is demonstrated. In my opinion this is not really animation, it's stuff moving around the screen. And there is no drawing, it's CAD circles.
I'd like to see something more ambitious to say the least, and maybe work on nailing one principal rather than them all. Start with a strong drawing and go from there.

yeh, I'm not so sure about this.... I think its a great idea to go through and show the different principles of animation, but not sure that the character of a circle with 2 eyes is enough to emphasis or demonstrate these principles. I felt it needed more ?!!
